Easy Recipe for Sausage Puff Keto

I’m a little new to this low-carb thing, but in the short time I’ve tried to reduce sugar, I realized how difficult it is to have snacks that are fast and easily available. String cheese, beans, and hard-boiled eggs are getting old and boring, so it would be nice to have some exciting on-the-go recipes that can last all week.

This cheese sausage puff is my favorite low-carb snack recipe. Very tasty! I speak, little balls of heaven. They are also very fast and easy which is a big bonus in my book. With the exception of sausages, I usually have all the ingredients on hand.

This quick and easy low-carb keto recipe is delicious for breakfast or snacking throughout the day, and is perfect for use!

Cheesy Sausage Puffs  Recipe


  • 1 pound Jimmy Dean Sausage (I like hot variations)
  • 2 cups of freshly shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 4.5 tablespoons of butter, melting
  • 2 tbsp sour cream (or soft cream cheese)
  • 1/3 cup coconut flour (heap)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, but I like garlic!)


  1. Melt the butter and set it aside to cool.
  2. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 375 degrees and coat a large baking sheet with nonstick paper or parchment paper.
  3. Brown sausages, cut into small pieces. Pat it dry with a tissue to remove excess fat; set aside.
  4. In a medium to large bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, sour cream, salt and garlic. Shake it together.
  5. Add coconut flour (a little more than 1/3 cup) and baking powder to the mixture and stir until evenly mixed.
  6. Stir in sausages and brownish cheese.
  7. Roll or drop the mixture into a 1 inch ball on your baking sheet. I made 35 and they are very suitable (5 line 7). They only need to be about 1/2 inch apart.
  8. Bake for 14-18 minutes or until lightly browned. Enjoy immediately, and store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a week.
